Friday five
Jan. 15th, 2021 11:25 am1. Which slang term from your youth, no longer in common use, do you remember fondly? "Talk to the hand" lol
2. What slang do you still use, though it’s no longer in common use? *shrugs*
3. Which current (or sorta recent) slang terms do you particularly like? I kinda like when something's "extra" lol
4. Which slang terms, past or present, do you especially dislike? "Oh snap!," "bae," "on fleek," etc
5. What slang terms are specific to your geographical region? "The Banks" or "Squarebanks" or Fairbanks, "Outside" for anywhere not in Alaska, etc
It's been a week since my surgery, and my incisions seem to be healing well..convalescing is really boring though. :P I did go to dinner on Wednesday, but was pretty sore after I got home..other than that and a couple days after surgery, I haven't really needed pain meds..I thought I'd be in a lot more pain! (Coughing definitely hurts though. D:) The hospital and regular clinic here have a "patient portal" where you can see your chart and procedures and stuff you've had, and the hysterectomy report was interesting, though kinda weird to read in detail everything they did haha. They said my uterus was enlarged and the fibroid was 7 x 6 cm (size of a peach or orange) and on the right side..I always thought it was on the left, since that's where my pain usually was..weird. The case was 15% more challenging because of how big the fibroid was, and how narrow my pelvis is. There was a lot of medical jargon, but Jennifer will probably explain it better when I go to my post-op appointment later in the month. Hopefully I'll heal quickly so I can go back to work and pick up the cats again LOL
