Winter survey
Dec. 29th, 2020 04:36 pm1. Do you wear slippers on your feet during the wintertime to keep your toes toasty? No, I wear fuzzy socks
2. Has the power ever gone out during a snowstorm before? How long was the power out for? How did you cope with your house getting cold? Yeah, a couple months ago at my parents' house when we got a foot of snow in like 24 hours. It might have been an hour or so..we lit candles while we waited lol. It didn't really get any colder than normal though
3. What do you keep your furnace temperature set to inside during the wintertime? Around 68
4. Have you ever come across a glacier or an iceberg in real life? YES!! How awesome is this survey?? Haha. I miss seeing them, I didn't get to see any this summer :( *glares at covid*
5. Have you seen any of the Ice Age movies before? Yeah, all of them
6. How do you feel about using dogs to mush and pull dogsleds? That's absolutely normal up here..as long as you treat your dogs well and they love what they're doing, it's fine with me lol. I feel sad when I read books about the polar explorers who whipped their dogs, ones that died on the trail because they hadn't eaten in like five days, dogs that they ate..poor things :(
7. As a human being, what do you think is the longest period of time that you could hibernate for? Not sure, but two month of quarantine was long enough :P
8. What would be your strategy in order to successfully win a snowball fight? Build a fort and strategically throw them at people lol
9. Do you go out of town for your holiday break or do your family members from other states/areas come to you instead? One break I went to Arizona, but we usually stay home. Most of my extended family has never been here to visit :(
10. Have you ever gotten a winter-sports related injury before? What happened, and how long were you incapacitated for? No
11. Do you believe in the Yeti or the Abominable Snowman? What would you do if you ever came into contact with one? Nah. I'd back away slowly, hoping it wouldn't eat me :P
12. What kind of a conversation would you have with Frosty the Snowman if he came to life one day? What it's like to be made of snow lol, etc
13. What is one thing that you enjoy doing during the wintertime that a snowman wouldn’t be able to? Sitting by the fire
14. How long does it typically take your body to defrost after coming inside from the cold temperatures? Usually I get pretty warm when I get inside, it's my glasses that take longer to defrost, especially with masks now :P
15. Do you give money to the homeless when you see them and/or they ask you to spare a few dollars? No..I'd feel guilty if they used it to get drunk or something (a big problem up here)
16. Have you ever tried to blow bubbles during the wintertime? If not, would you be interested in trying to find out what would happen? No..it could be interesting lol
17. Do you know anyone who has been laid off or unemployed right before the holidays? I don't think so..
18. What would be your ideal version of a winter wonderland? Mountains and glaciers shining in the sun :D
19. Does it amuse you to see your breath in the cold air? How about frosted window panes? lol yes..not really frosted window panes though..
20. Does your vehicle have a remote start option during the winter time, so it will be all nice and warm/defrosted when you climb inside? I don't have a car
