WTF??

Today I was walking home when I saw this lady screaming at her dog..she was speaking to it in a super nasty tone like it was the dirt under her shoes (it wasn't obeying her, but that's still no way to treat a dog). She kept getting angrier and finally did something to it and it yelped in pain. I got this awful feeling I get when I see/hear about hurt animals. I stood on the corner pretending to use my phone just listening to this awful woman yell at her dog. She crossed the street, still taking nasty to her dog, and finally I couldn't stand it anymore and just lost it..I walked up to her and was like "will you stop talking to your dog like that?! You should never hurt an animal!" She was definitely not pleased about that (not that I expected her to be) and said something about a broken back and the dog dragging her and that she doesn't hurt her dog. If you don't hurt your dog, then why did it YELP WITH PAIN?? Unless the animal was attacking you or something, there's no reason to hit an animal. I was so upset and angry I was shaking..and anyone who knows me knows how hard it is to make me angry (and normally I would NEVER confront someone like that)..one of my coworkers I've known for years once told me she had never seen me get angry. Another lady came by with her dog and the dogs started going at it, but their owners separated them..the one lady was basically hugging her dog and telling it in calming tones it was ok and to settle down..the other lady..ugh. She could yell at me all she wanted, just leave your dog alone!! Eventually we just left, and good thing I was basically home, because I ran up to my apartment and just started SOBBING. That poor dog doesn't deserve an owner like that..I have no idea how people can stand to hurt animals. :( It kills part of my soul every time I hear/see something about abused animals..if you want to see me angry, that's the fastest way to do it (please don't though lol, I hate being angry!). Poor dog :( (now that I'm reading this a few hours later and have calmed down, that probably wasn't the best thing to do..I feel kind of embarrassed actually.. :/)

Today's mom's birthday! We went to dinner, where two guys were fighting in the parking lot. One guy was yelling and the other guy kept getting on his knees and crossing himself. I don't know what it was about, but I've had enough drama for one day..eesh

Aunt Cindy sent me a birthday card..the front says "sometimes I wonder how you got to be so great" and inside it says "other times, I think about penguins." OMG I love it lol, I must have talked about Cherry too much when I visited her ;)

Today's trivia: Eight-year-old Gabi Mann of Seattle, Washington receives gifts from crows in her garden. She feeds the crows regularly and little "treasures" are given in return including a miniature silver ball, a black button, a blue paper clip, a yellow bead, a blue Lego piece, and a pearl colored heart (I saw her on TV once! That's so cool lol)
