Random observations
Feb. 23rd, 2017 08:38 pmSome random observations recently:
The bookstore will be dead for a couple hours, then a whole bunch of people will come in like 5 minutes before closing. Sometimes they take forever checking out, and you're standing there smiling politely but inside you're like "HURRY UP I'M HUNGRY I WANT TO GO HOME!" haha
Available is NOT pronounced "a-vail-ee-a-ble," which is how dad always says it. I kept thinking it was spelled wrong (I thought it had two I's) when I saw it at restaurants. Thanks dad. :P LOL
My vision, at least in my right eye, is much worse than mom's. I went with her to her eye checkup when I was off on Friday and the assistant (??) lady said mom's vision was -3 and -4 something. She was completely shocked when I told her my right eye was -7! (She was like "already?!?") That's impressive when even people who work for eye doctors are surprised LOL (I love the reactions I get when people try on my glasses.."wow, you are blind!!" Yep :P)
I go through more watches than anyone I've ever known (after a couple or so years the band eventually breaks..I could get a new band, but it's cheaper just getting a new watch lol)
Mark Gatiss' husband (Ian Hallard) played one of the characters in The Worst Journey in the World docudrama (for some reason it took me this long to find that out LOL), and he played in an episode of Sherlock. Cool!
Mark Gatiss is amazing as Mycroft Holmes, and totally swoonworthy LOL:

Guuuuuh he wears the best suits LOL *swoons*

Yumm. He and Sherlock are completely different from one another, and it's hilarious watching them interact with each other haha (in one episode Sherlock went to Buckingham Palace wrapped in just a bed sheet, and Mycroft was just like "seriously?!?" haha). It amuses me how he's usually carrying an umbrella with him :P (hmm, this turned into a Mark Gatiss list LOL)
( pokemon update )
Today's trivia: The world’s first nuclear reactor was built in a squash court beneath a Chicago football stadium on December 2, 1942
