Cute Cordova

Today before we left Valdez we went fishing (and on the way we saw a bear!). There were fish swimming near the shore but they didn't care cause they were like half dead. :P We still caught one each though! (And mom snagged one but I don't know if that counts haha) They were both pink salmon. We didn't keep them but it was still cool. The ferry eventually came and we drove our car into it..that was interesting haha. The passenger area was REALLY nice. I think it took 2 1/2 or so hours to get to Cordova. We passed by a bunch of glaciers on the mountains..I looked at them through my binoculars and some of them were REALLY blue..it was so amazing and pretty! There was a bunch of jellyfish in the water too. We got to Cordova and drove to the hotel..Cordova is a nice little town! It seems nicer than Valdez with more things in town (of course the scenery is amazing though). It seems like it has charm. We checked in at the hotel..I told the clerk "I'm going to Childs Glacier tomorrow!" and she was like "I have some bad news..the bridge is washed out and they closed the road." WHAAAT. Really..REALLY?! EPIC FAIL. She did say there was a glacier called Sheridan Glacier that you could drive to and walk on..so we'll probably do that. It looks pretty sweet in the pics I looked at
