I saw a tree here that's already started to bloom! One of our daffodils is too..the plants think it's spring already from the crazy warm weather haha. Possibly more will start to bloom before we leave again. Then I'll go back to Alaska and it'll be snowy and bare again :P

Had lunch with Jody and Ruth today. I hadn't seen them in awhile. We may go again before we leave too

Cheechako: A newcomer to Alaska, usually one who has not survived a winter here. The word comes from Chinook jargon, a combination of English and Indian dialects once used by traders. As any sourdough will tell you, cheechakos are an inferior breed that don't know nuthin'
