1. What did you do in 2021 that you'd never done before? Landed on a glacier, got the covid vaccine, got a hysterectomy, flew during a pandemic, went to Yuma, slept in a four-poster bed, etc
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? Mine is always to read as much as I can lol..I didn't read as much as in previous years, but still a fair amount
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Jordan's wife did, but I've only met her once, and Heidi did too, but I haven't known her very long yet
4. Did anyone close to you die? Jack (grandma's husband) did..he was 99! He had a long full life
5. What countries did you visit? Just the USA
6. What would you like to have in 2022 that you lacked in 2021? Less mask wearing, more vacations, etc
7. What date from 2021 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? A few:
Jan. 6: The crazy storming of the Capitol D:
Jan. 8: Getting a hysterectomy (it's been almost a year already?! Wow)
April and May: Getting the covid vaccine
July 27: Landing on Shoup Glacier
Oct. 12: Hanging out with Dana in Yuma
December: The crazy winter storms
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Going to Valdez, getting a new bed, getting the vaccine, finally getting better lenses in my glasses, etc
9. What was your biggest failure? Not being able to find SoBe again, eating badly, etc
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? A cold in July
11. What was the best thing you bought? My bed (even if it is the wrong one lol), a helicopter tour of glaciers around Valdez, etc
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? Anyone who was a good human lol
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? Everyone at the Storming of the Capitol, Orange Guy, mean people..
14. Where did most of your money go? Rent, vacation, etc
15. What did you look forward to most this year? Going to Valdez, covid easing up (it did for a couple months..sigh), etc
16. What song will always remind you of 2021? Hmm..maybe "Heartland" by Celtic Thunder, since I discovered them this year
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? Hmm, not sure..it's hard to remember how I felt last December..
ii. thinner or fatter? Fatter, especially with all the holiday treats everywhere :P
iii. richer or poorer? *shrugs* Maybe a little poorer?
18. What do you wish you'd done more of? Traveling, etc
19. What do you wish you'd done less of? Worrying about covid, etc
20. How did you spend Christmas? I hung out with mom, Ryan and Jo
22. Did you fall in love in 2021? Does my bed count?? Haha
23. How many one-night stands? None
24. What was your favourite TV program? Nightwatch, Squid Game (even if it was messed up O_o), etc
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? No?
26. What was the best book you read? The Starless Sea, A Solitude of Wolverines, The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle, etc
27. What was your greatest musical discovery? Celtic Thunder
28. What did you want and get? A trip to Valdez, a new bed, etc
29. What did you want and not get? A trip to Juneau, etc
30. What was your favorite film of this year? Dune, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I turned 32, and went out to eat
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? The pandemic ending
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2021? Casual
34. What kept you sane? Prozac haha, family, etc
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Timothée Chalamet..yum :P
36. What political issue stirred you the most? The Storming of the Capitol, etc
37. Who did you miss? Mom when she was away for a couple months, Donna when she left work, etc
38. Who was the best new person you met? Carolyn (coworker), Marie (volunteer), etc

41. Where did you begin 2021? My parents' house
42. Were you in school (any time this year)? No
43. Did you have any encounters with the police? No
44. Where did you go on holidays/vacation? Anchorage, Valdez, Arizona
45. Did you move anywhere? No
46. Where are you spending New Year's and with who? At my parents' house with mom (dad's in Arizona) and Ryan and Jo
47. What concerts/shows did you go to? None
48. Did you see any live sporting events? No
49. What has been your favourite moment? Landing on Shoup Glacier, hanging out with Dana, etc
50. What was your best month? July, for one
51. Favourite night out? Dinners, going to the movies..
52. What's something you learned about yourself? That I heal well after surgery? I think I was back to work after only 3 weeks of recovering! Not having periods anymore is AWESOME haha
And this: "Sunday set several precipitation records, according to the National Weather Service. A total of 1.93 inches of precipitation was measured, which set a new daily record and made Dec. 26, 2021, the wettest December day on record and the third wettest day on record for any time of year. While the day was particularly unusual, it falls within a month of high precipitation. Woooow. The sheet of ice on the snow looked so weird! It was so smooth and shiny lol. Work has indeed been closed all this week. Thankfully the snow has finally stopped, but now it's going to be in the -20s and -30s for the next week..guess it's one or the other this winter :P

30. How often do you light candles? I don't at my apartment (it makes me nervous), but sometimes mom and Ryan do at their house
