Yesterday I kept saying Abby's name when she was trying to sleep, and this is what she did:

So she can wake me up by licking me and staring right into my eyes, but she gets all dramatic when I try to wake her up LOL. Not allowed!
She is very cute though:

Good afternoon Palmy! I am sitting outside while my brother does bow and arrows. Guess what? We are probably going to Egypt on Spring Break, [nope..everything changed after 9/11] and my mom says I’ll have to take you along, which is a good idea because I want to remember my trip to Egypt! There is lots of PALM trees in Egypt! There is also sycamores, acacias, and figs. There’s probably other trees there. Did you know Egypt has the longest river in the world? It’s the Nile River. Papyrus, a reed, grows along some parts of the Nile. The Egyptians used it to make paper. The word paper comes from papyrus! Egypt also has cool pyramids. The coolest ones are the 3 Great Pyramids at Giza. The Great Pyramid is 482 feet high! The Great Pyramids were built by Khufu, Kafre, and Menkaure. The other cool pyramid is the one at Saqqara. It’s the Step Pyramid built by Djoser. His architect, Imhotep, designed it for him. There is lots of cool stuff in Egypt. It’s capital is Cairo. I can write Ibis in hieroglyphs. [*insert hieroglyphs here*] Cool huh? Did you know I know 212 trees? I have 8 favorite trees instead of 4. They are junipers, sycamores, palms, ponderosa pines, magnolias, mimosas, ginkoes, and Japanese maples. I’ll write you later Palmy!
I just watched my friend Travis [I had a bit of a crush on him LOL. He’s married and has a kid! So weird to think about :P] wrestle with 2 kids named Hunter and Jared on a trampoline. We are going to Wendy’s and Home Depot. We are also going to Wal-Mart and mabey Petco. My brother wants another Guinea pig. He might name it Sycamore. [Yeah right LOL, he would have done the exact opposite of what I suggested. :P]…We are going camping this Friday at Camp Grady Spruce some somewear in Texas! [Near Dallas] I’ll write you later Palmy!
I am sitting outside while my brother does bows and arrows again. I can speak some Arabic - what the Egyptians speak. Ni is no and tuie is yes. Haku michente! is charge! and ahem setna is destroy them. Ser is her and tuae is you. [I got this from The Mummy movies and was guessing at spelling the words. I have no idea if those are actual Arabic words lol.] That’s most of the Arabic I know!…More Arabic words I know is sem - help and owe - me. Put it together sem-owe - help me. [*GASP* Heather, you are a genius! LOLOL] That’s cool huh? I went in the jaccuze tonight. Well, goodnight Palmy!

Today was the last day of school! It’s nice to be talking to you again! Our back neighbors are being loud again, as usual. Our golden rain tree is flowering again! Guess what? For Spring Break, we went to London! We didn’t get to go to Egypt, but that’s ok. I could go another time. We are going back to London on my birthday, and I’m taking you with me! I am going to tell you my Spring Break. We flew to London and then we took a taxi to our hotel, Thistle Bloomsbury
On Monday we walked until our feet hurt. First, we went to the British Museum, the oldest museum in the world! [Not sure where I got that, because Google says the oldest are Rome's Capitoline Museums.] It was a 1 minute walk from our hotel. My favorite part was all of the Egyptian stuff! They had the REAL Rosetta Stone, what Jean Francosis Champollion used to help disipher hieroglyphs. They even had a real Egyptian pillar! Then we went to a little park in Bloomsbury called Bloomsbury Park (really Bloomsbury Square Gardens). [Dad made up his own name for it, for some reason lol.] There were really old London plane trees. [I liked them because they’re related to sycamores haha.] Then we walked through St. Jamse’s Park to Buckingham Palace, where the queen lives. Then we went on the London Eye, the biggest observation wheel in the world! It is 452 feet high. We even saw Big Ben and heard it dong! Then we walked to Hyde Park Corner to go to Hard Rock Cafe on Piccadilly St, a world famous street about a mile long. Then we went back to the hotel
On Tuesday we rode the Underground to Tower Hill to see the Tower of London, a fortress where prisinors were kept. Some people were even beheaded there! The Crown Jewls are held there! After that we went to the Tower Bridge, a half drawbridge half suspension bridge. Then, we took the Underground to Victoria Station and ate at Pizza Hut. Then we went back to the hotel
On Wendesday we went on a bus tour. Some places it took us to were Westmister Abbey, the Tower of London, the Tower Bridge, Trafalgar Square, Big Ben, the Houses of Parlament, Piccadilly Circus, some parks, Buckingham Palace, the Marble Arch, the London Eye, and more. Then we ate at a better-than-American McDonald’s to eat. Then we went on a river cruse on the River Thames. It told us about the Tower of London, the H.M.S. Belfast, 6 bridges and more. Then we went to Westminster Abbey, a church where dead people were buried right under your feet! In the walls were some people’s ashes. Then, we went to Trafalgar Square. It usually has tons of pigeons, but we never got to see them. There is a monument dedicaded to Admaral Lord Nelson. Then we went to the National Gallery [an art museum]. It was boring. Before Trafalgar Square we ate at restarant called the Texas Embassy. [What are the chances of that in London?? I was pretty surprised lol.] Then we went back to our hotel
On Thursday, we went to St. Paul’s Cathedral. In the crypt, Nelson is buried there! To get to the top you had to climb more than 500 steps!! After that we went to Tower Bridge again and walked on the 2 top walkways. Then we went on the H.M.S. Belfast. It used to be a WWII battleship, now it’s a floating museum. It was sort of interesting. Then we went to Trafalgar Square again. People like it. We ate at Planet Hollywood in Piccadilly Circus. It is my favorite place in London. I am obssesed with it! It is not a circus. Instead it is a traffic circule with 5 intersecting streets. [That’s actually what “circus” means in this case, a round open space at a street junction.] They are Shaftesbury Avenue, Piccadilly St., Regent Street, Haymarket St, and Coventry Street. It has the Statue of Eros, Tower Records, Planet Hollywood, lots of neon signs, and much, much more. Then we rode the Underground back to our hotel
On Friday we went back to Piccadilly Circus again!! We took some pictures. Piccadilly Circus is the heart of London’s theaters, nightclubs, cinemas, pubs, and restaraunts. Then we went to Buckingham Palace to see the Changing of the Guard. It was sort of interesting. Then we went to a famous department (and HUGE store called Harrods. They had the “Egyptian Escalator” and the “Egyptian Hall.” It was really boring except for the Egyptian stuff and book section. I bought a book called Plants. Palmy, you’ll like this part most of all! We went to Kew Gardens. They had a PALM House!!!! It was hot and huge!! It even had a coconut palm with real coconuts!! Kew Gardens is 300 acres. Then we went to Hard Rock Cafe on Piccadilly Street again! Then we went to London Bridge to see Tower Bridge all lit up. It was at 11:00 or so [*GASP* OH NOES], it was dad’s idea, and I would rather have gone to Piccadilly Circus. On Saterday we tried to leave but we had to leave on Sunday. [Liza Minnelli was on the flight we tried to get on! I still remember the boa she was wearing lol. We watched her board, thinking “she took our seats!!” haha. To leave the next day, dad actually had to pay to get on British Airways, which he NEVER does. Non-revving is awful, even if it is free lol.] Well, have a good evening, Palmy!
6-5-02
Good morning Palmy! Today is the day we go to London!! I will celebrate my birtday there, and I will get to choose what we do for the entire day!! We are going to do stuff in Piccadilly Circus! I’ll write you later, Palmy! We are on f[l]ight 66 going to Chigago. Then from Chigago, we will land at London Heathrow. We will take the Underground (subway) to Earls Court, where our hotel is. It is called Ramsess Hotel. I hope we don’t crash! Well, have a good flight, Palmy!…We are on our flight to London Heathrow!! Have a good flight!…Talk to ya when we get there!

Yes, I was tired LOL
6-6-02
Good afternoon Palmy! We are in our hotel, the Enterp[r]ise, instead of the Ramses Hotel. [Because the Ramses or however it was spelled was CREEPY. It just seemed shady, the bathroom was TINY, and we were pretty sure the beds had blood stains on them. NOPE. *runs away*] When we got our hotel room, we settled in and we decided to eat at the Hard Rock Cafe on Piccadilly Street (I don’t get how they say Hard Rock Cafe is on Old Park Lane!). Then we walked all the way down Piccadilly to Piccadilly Circus! There is TONS of shops & restaraunts (and lots of traffic!) on Piccadilly!! Mom bought some stuff in a shop on Piccadilly near Piccadilly Circus! We also went to Burlington Arcade to try to find some shoes for Ryan, but we didn’t find any. When we got to Piccadilly Circus, it looked different from when I saw it last time! There was some white plastic stuff on some buildings. Before I could take any pictures, mom took us to Regent Street, and found Ryan some shoes at Gap Kids. We were going to go to Carnaby Street, but I really wated to [go] back to Piccadilly Circus, so we walked back to Piccadilly Circus and we took some pictures.

While we were going back to Piccadilly [that word is looking kinda funny right about now LOL] Circus, we ran into a little part of Soho. In Piccadilly Circus, I took pictures of neon signs, the Statue of Eros, Tower Records, and more. Then we took the Underground back to our hotel. On the outside of the station it says District Line: Earls Court Station G.N. Piccadilly & Brompton Railway. Well, good evening Palmy!

6-7-02
I am in my hotel right now. Good afternoon to you, Palmy! Today, we took the District Line to Tower Hill to see the Tower of London. We took a guided tour. He told us 900 years of history in 50 minutes!! The first part of the Tower of London was built in 10 hundred something by William the Conqueror. It was the White Tower that was built first (I think). We saw the Crown Jewels again! VERY pretty, cool and amazing!! The last part of the tour took us to a church. [There was this stone block thing by the door, and the tour guide said someone always tripped over it on his tours. Who tripped over it when we left? Me, of course! I am honored, sir. :P LOL.]

After the Tower of London we walked on Tower Bridge over the River Thames to Tooley Street. On Tooley Street we went to the London Dungeon. It was REALLY, REALLY gross!! After that we went to the Natural History Museum. It had plants stuff! [And THE PRECIOUSSS hahaha. I was so close to Cherry’s penguin eggs and didn’t even know it. :P] It is HUGE!! Then we walked the short distance back to our hotel. Tonight we are probably going to Piccadilly Circus to see it all lit up! It’s very pretty at night!

It is really cool at night! Like a different atmosphere or something..
We are resting right now, then we are going somewhere to eat. I’ll write you later Palmy!
We are back in the Enterprise Hotel. After we were rested up a bit, we rode the Underground to Piccadilly Circus. Then, we walked down Regent St. to Trafalgar Square. No pigeons, again!! Only a few. [Well, which is it?? Haha.] Still at Trafalgar Square, we ate at a restaurant called Texas Embassy. After eating there we walked back to Piccadilly Circus! It was nighttime, and practially all that was lighting it up was the neon signs! We saw street performers! One was eating fire and limbo dancing under the fire. The Eros statue had the water turned on! It was (and is!) cool! Tomorrow is my birthday and I get to pick what to do! I am DEFINITELY going to Piccadilly Circus! Piccadilly Circus on Friday night is REALLY crowded!! After that we went to see Big Ben and the Houses of Parlament. We heard Big Ben dong 11 times because it was 11:00 at night. Well, goodnight Palmy!
6-8-02
Good afternoon Palmy! It is my birthday today!! I am 13 years old! It is my day to pick what to do! I am in the hotel right now. We took the Underground to Piccadilly Circus and we stayed there for 4 hours!! We got there around 11 something. We were hungry, so we got a doughnut to eat and we ate it on the steps by Eros. It still had the water turned on. Then, we went to the London Pavilion with the London Trocadero. The London Trocadero is kind of like a mall. The Funland was REALY cool! It was loud, had tons of games, and lots of lights! On the 1st floor, there is some shops. We got some ice cream (I got a vanella milkshake) and Ryan made a mess. I said “I told you we should have ate it outside by Eros! Then we wouldn’t have to clean it up!”
Then we walked down Piccadilly St. to find St. James’s Piccadilly and right in front of the church was Piccadilly Market. Mom bought a bowl made out of thuya wood.

We went inside St. James’s Piccadilly Church. A wedding was going to be held there. Then we went anthother short distance down Piccadilly St. (you could still see Eros) and found Fortum and Mason. That is a REALLY elegant place!! There is 4 or 5 flags! Fortum and Masion is where the queen gets her groceries from! Then we turned around and went back to Piccadilly Circus. We ate at a pizza place. I wanted to eat at Piccadilly Brasserie, but when we looked at the menu, me and Ryan didn’t like anything. The pizza was sort of good, but nothing like the picture showed! [Ryan claims that this is the second worst pizza he’s ever had lol, the first being the Banks Alehouse’s from a couple months ago.] Then mom took a picture of me sitting by Eros and me & Ryan in front of the neon signs! The stuff on the neon signs says: Sanyo, TDK, imagine all the people living life in peace, [I always think of Piccadilly Circus when I hear that song] McDonnald’s, Coca Cola, a thing that says diffrent stuff, Samsung, and Samsung Phones, and Carlsberg. There was probably more than 100 people at Piccadilly Circus!! That is the most people I have ever [seen] at one place at one time!! [I must have forgotten about the Texas Rangers baseball game I went to, I’m sure there were thousands of people there!] Even though it is my day to pick what to do, mom and Ryan were getting tired so mom made me (against my will) to go back. I went reluctatly. I’ll write you later Palmy!
I am in my hotel right now. We took the Underground to St. James’s Park and went to Buckingham Palace.

"Will the queen let us in??"
Then we walke[d] a little ways down a red street called The Mall. Then we went through St. James’s park to eat at the Hard Rock Cafe. It was too long of a wait so we took a red double decker bus down Piccadilly St. to Piccadilly Circus. While we were waiting for the bus, we were trying to make words out of the word Piccadilly. We ate at Burger King in the neon signs. Then we looked at Piccadilly Circus for a while, then we went back to the hotel. Well, goodnight Palmy!
6-9-02
Good afternoon Palmy! I’m in the hotel right now. Today is mom’s day to pick what to do. We rode the Underground to Covent Garden. We got lost, so then we realized we were in Leicster Square. Then we went the very little tiny distance down Coventry Street and accidentally ended up at Piccadilly Circus!! I was so happy! In Leicster Square I found a shop that had a Piccadilly Circus, London t-shirt [I still have it, but there are holes in it and it’s too small, but I don’t think I could throw it away lol] & a washcloth that says Piccadilly and has a picture of Eros on it!! When we got to Piccadilly Circus I saw Eros and the neons [well..yes..that should be obvious
:P] (mom’s word for neon signs). Mom said “Eros wants you! Say hi to Eros!” [OMG LOL.] While we were by the Underground station and going in it I was looking at the statue of Eros and the neons
Then, we went to Westminster Station to see Westminster Abbey. We heard Big Ben right when we were under it and when it stroke 12! Westminster Abbey was closed, so we took the Underground to St. Paul’s Station and went to the Science Museum. It tells about London’s history, the Great Fire of 1666, cars, and there was this thing about Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth. When her coronation was going on in some year in the 1950s [1953. Her father was George VI, who had a terrible stutter. Watching footage of his speeches is hard! In one it took everything in him just to say “palace,” and he kept closing his eyes when he was struggling..poor guy! I was squirming so much when watching The King’s Speech, especially the beginning where he was like “k…k…*cringing*…king!” in front of everyone. I would not want to be in his shoes!] they had to design a special cage for Eros to keep over excited people from climbing on it. Eros is a great meeting place! They designed the cage to match the decorations by it! Interesting! Ryan was annoying me in the museum by saying “that’s SOOO (or really) inteeereesting!” They, in my opinion, weren’t interesting at all!
After that, we walked to St. Paul’s Cathedral. We went inside, but church was going on, so we ate at the crypt at the Crypt Cafe. From Behind the gates we could see Lord Nelson’s coffin. Then we took the Underground to Oxford Circus (only 2 streets intersect there, and there are more people in Piccadilly Circus, so Piccadilly Circus is better!) and walked to Carnaby Street. It said “Welcome to Carnaby Street” by both entrances to Carnaby Street. Carnaby Street is the shortest street I ever saw!! After Carnaby Street we walked back to Oxford Circus Station and then we had to go on the Victoria Line and get off at Green Park Station. Then we walked to the Piccadilly Line. Then we rode the Underground to the hotel. I’ll write you later Palmy!
I am in my hotel right now. We rode the Underground to Piccadilly Circus. We ate at Garfunkel’s on Piccadilly St. While we were eating we could look out at Piccadilly Circus and see the neons, Eros, and the London Pavilion. On the advertisements for McDonnal’s, we saw McFlurrys. So after we ate we went to Shaftesbury Avenue and got 2 McFlurrys and 1 vanella milkshake. We ate it on the steps by Eros and staring at the neons. I think Samsung wasn’t working or something like that. Then we went back to the hotel. Well, goodnight Palmy!
6-10-02
Good afternoon Palmy! Today is our last day here in London! I don’t want to leave, but I have to leave sometime! Today, we took the District Line to Westminster and went to Westminster Abbey. Mom liked it!

We heard Big Ben dong again!! In Poets Corner, Charels Dickens is buried there! There is DEFINITLY alot of people buried in the humungus church!! [That totally weirded mom out lol.] After that, we took the Northern Line to Oxford Circus. Oxford Circus is NOTHING like Piccadilly Circus!! [Yep, we established this already. :P] It is very boring, only there is LOTS of people, like Piccadilly Circus, but Piccadilly Circus has WAY more people! We wanted to go to a diamond place, but it wasn’t there anymore. So we found Regent Street and found Hamley’s, a toy store
After Hamley’s, we got on a double-decker bus just to ride one. It took us past Piccadilly Circus!! Mom says we are a magnet to Piccadilly Circus, and I think she’s right! At the end of the route, we had to get on another one. The end of the route was Oxford Street, so we had to get off there and find another bus stop. We wanted to go to Trafalgar Square, so we got on a bus that took us there. We wanted to go to St.-Martin-In-The-Fields Church there, but while we were walking there, I saw pigeons at the Nelson’s Column part! Finally!! There must have been a hundred or more!! [There was WAY more than that lol.] They had feeding frenzies where they piled on top of each other! We spent about 45 minutes goofing off with the pigeons! I even fed them and when I could, I picked them up! When this person put food down, the pigeons swarmed over us and went in a big heap over all the food! [That really was so much fun lol. I don’t think you’re allowed to feed the pigeons there anymore though.] We walked over to St.-Martin-In-The-Fields, but a concert was going on so we couldn’t go in

Fun!!

LOL, poor bird :P
Then we caght another double decker bus that took us past Piccadilly Circus!! At the end of the line at Victoria, we caught another bus to Waterloo. From there, we crossed over a green place to the London Aquarium by the London Eye. It was sort of cool. After that, we took another double-decker red bus to Piccadilly Circus. [Did I live there on this trip?? Haha wow :P] We ate at Planet Hollywood. The food was good, better than last time! We had an American waiter! She said she was touring Europe and was in college. Then we went and sat on Eros. Mom & Ryan sang a late birthday song to me! I said “NO! There is lots of people here! It’s a tourist attraction, you know!” [“Happy Birthday” is the longest song ever. :P] We sat at Eros for awhile and mom was taking pictures of people. We stared at the neon signs. That is the last London landmark I’ll see on this trip! I said by to Piccadilly Circus, then rode the Underground to the hotel. Well, goodnight Palmy!
9-11-02
This is the 1-year annaversary of the September 11 attacks! The president visited New York City, Washington DC, and Pensylvannia where the attacks happened
The last place where we went over summer vacation is New York City. We visited Times Square. They say Times Square is equivilent to Piccadilly Circus, but Times Square has way more people and advertisements than Piccadilly Circus. My favorite advertisement was the Samsung billboard and T.V. screen. Mom said there were more than 100 people on every block!

Ryan was squishing me!
After that we took the subway somewhere and visited Ground Zero. Mom took about 15 pictures with her just-fixed digital camera! She dropped it when we went to Sedona. I don’t think it works as well as before! It was a HUGE hole! They were still working on the buildings that were damaged!

When we exited, mom said we walked on the exact same street the people ran down. I’ve seen it on t.v., also. Then, we walked down Broadway a ways then we went down another street and found Battery Park, where we could see the Statue of Liberty. We wanted to help the Stock Market, because it was way down, but we gave it moral support because it went up! Way up! I bought a lot of Times Square pictures at Battery Park! These people also put heavy snakes around us! It was cool!

Then flew home. It was a 1 day trip. Well, goodnight Palmy
[Next entries were San Francisco and Washington, CD, which I posted already]

Good morning, Palmy! I am listening to the top 30 countdown on Radio Disney. One of my favorite songs, “Floorfiller,” is # 27. [One of the lyrics is “something’s out of order, people in the corners” and I still think of that song when I see a sign that says “out of order” haha. *goes to listen to it and smiles like crazy* :D] Last year it was # 9. My favorite songs on Radio Disney are “Floorfiller,” “Who Let the Dogs Out?,” “We Like to Party,” “Move It Like This,” “America AO,” “Jump For Joy,” “Don’t Stop Moving,” “Bouncing Off the Ceiling,” “Can’t Stop Falling in Love,” and there’s more
Did you know my back neighbors are building a pool? Now they will be even more loud in the summertime! They are already loud enough without a pool! How loud will they be now? I have watched them build it from the balcony. Did you know my house has a balcony? 3 years have passed and I never told you that. Strange! Maybe I can find more facts, like I go to McKamy Middle School and I love it because it has a courtyard and we go out there after lunch. Why haven’t I told you any of this? Actually, I didn’t like courtyards 3 years ago, but I still was at McKamy. [The only guess I have for liking courtyards is I went to a museum that had a courtyard with plants, and I was obsessed with plants, so I connected the two. Otherwise, I have no idea lol]
I just thought of another of my favorites on Radio Disney, “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.” Too bad they don’t play “Carnival” or “I Just Wanna Fool Around.” I still have my palm frond from June 6 of 2001. It’s still not brown, even though dad says it is. We are going to Florida for Spring Break. We are driving there. Mom is taking us. I think it takes 2 days to get there. We’ll drive through East Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, and, of course, Florida. We’ll stop at Mobile, Alabama 1 night. We’re going to stay at Courtyard Marriott!! (I hope!) I’ll probably bring you along, but don’t be mad if I forget. We are up to # 14 on the top 30 countdown. “Who Let the Dogs Out?” is # 15. I am almost to page 100! On Friday Radio Disney’s coming to Lewisville at Michal’s on Stemmons! I just heard a commercal that said that! Will they come to Flower Mound next? Well, have a good morning, Palmy!
9. Which holiday is your favorite to decorate for? I don't really decorate for holidays lol, but Christmas was fun when I was a kid
10. What craft project do you want to do next? I don't do craft projects, mom didn't pass that gene on to me LOL
11. Do you have any family members that you've never met? Yeah, like cousins in California and family in Sweden
12. When it comes to friends, what's the biggest thing you have in common? Liking to read, humor, etc
Today's trivia: "Horizontal refreshment" was 19th century slang for sex

So she can wake me up by licking me and staring right into my eyes, but she gets all dramatic when I try to wake her up LOL. Not allowed!
She is very cute though:

Today was the last day of school! It’s nice to be talking to you again! Our back neighbors are being loud again, as usual. Our golden rain tree is flowering again! Guess what?
