So there's a video on YouTube called 90 Degrees South, which is Ponting's footage from Scott's expedition, but there's also a restored video of his footage called The Great White Silence..I hadn't watched it since I thought it was the same as the other one, but I was reading more about it and it seemed like it would be different, so I started watching it, and it is!! Some scenes are the same, but there was other different footage too, and OMG CHERRY WAS IN A COUPLE OF THEM. LOOK LOOK!!:


I'm pretty sure the guy on the left is Cherry!! I know it's really hard to tell (it's better in the video itself), but those were some of the clothes he usually wore (like his hat turban thing LOL..I could see the grey clasp thing on the front of it, which was unique to Cherry I think), and even his stance is the same (CHERRY AURA!!). This post has some good pics that show what I'm talking about, like his hat and stance

In this one I know for a fact Cherry is in the front on the right..in that same post I linked to, there's one of him and three others standing in front of a sledge (he's third from right in that pic), on the return journey from helping Scott and co. to get to the pole, and this pic is the same return journey. His clothes and whatever that is hanging off his poles are the same in both scenes. Good think Ponting named him in the other video, I wouldn't have recognized him othrwise!!


I LOVE THIS PICTURE. Cherry on the march!! (Stick it, stick it!) I'm so glad I finally watched The Great White Silence lol, I was very excited so see more video of Cherry :D <3
