Hi to Wisconsin :D That part about seeing the sunset once you got above the clouds sounded so peaceful and comforting to me for some reason - it made me feel like I could take a flight without freaking out from fear if I got to see that. I am weird lol.
That's the worst when you can't fall asleep on a trip though you are really tired. I hope you got to catch up by now.
