glacier_kittyI watched this depressing show on retreating glaciers yesterday..apparently Columbia Glacier is retreating 30 feet a day and could just disappear entirely. *sobs* It made me want to be a glaciologist haha. I don't want the glaciers to melt!
This is at Devil's Postpile. It was created by a lava flow. Then a glacier came and broke some of the columns off and you could see the marks it left behind (glacial striations) when you stood on top of it :D
