Friday five
Mar. 25th, 2022 05:59 pm1. If you could spend 24 hours locked in a room with anyone, from any time in history (including present) or a fictional character, who would you choose? Cherry!! Today I met a woman from out of state who also likes polar exploration, so we had fun talking about Cherry and Scott and the others, and she was like "I'm definitely adding you on Facebook!" Cool :D
2. Is there any one question you consistently ask everyone important to you? "Are you ok?" probably
3. If you had to choose one personally important question to never have the answer to, what would it be? What day am I going to die? That would be awful D:
4. If you could change one life-changing event in your life, would you? Nah, it might make the good things not happen too!
5. Which household chore do you hate the most, and why? Cleaning the bathroom..it's annoying and gross to me lol
On Tuesday Denise and I found out that it's illegal to volunteer where you work, which upset us, because we volunteer a lot. I wondered if it would be a different rule at a non-profit, so I researched it, and I was right..if you work at a non-profit, you can volunteer and long as you don't do anything you're paid for when volunteering, and vice versa. Denise and I were relieved! (If I cover for someone at the register in the morning, I'd have to use that as some of my paid time, and wouldn't be able to shelve books, because I volunteer when I do that.) Heidi talked to the board about it too, and they said it's fine for now, but they'll decide for sure in May (they don't want to get sued or get in trouble for violating labor laws or something). Heidi said if they vote no, we'd try to get more paid hours for me. I love the volunteer work I do too, but I definitely wouldn't want to get them in trouble! I'm glad I still can for now though!
It's 42 degrees out and now I feel too hot LOL
