When I walked home there was a helicopter that kept circling the area, and I was super curious, so I looked online and this is what I found:
FAIRBANKS - Fairbanks police have blocked off an area of downtown around Wendell and First avenues this afternoon.

News-Miner reporter Dorothy Chomicz is on site and said witnesses report three men and a woman in a red truck were taken into custody a little after 2 p.m. in the Tanana Chiefs Conference parking lot.

A standoff ensued, with the focus on a beige apartment building nearby. Police and a SWAT team are on site and an Alaska State Troopers helicopter arrived about 2:45 p.m. and was circling the scene.

According to spokeswoman Yumi McCulloch, police are attempting to serve a warrant. The area between Noble, Dunkle and First avenues is blocked off. Nearly two dozen police officers are on scene.

Yikes! I figured it was police related, but still..too close to home lol D:
