Music:Blind Guardian-"Night At the Opera"
Just as I said, I'll review BG's live CD
*-On Night At the Opera, **-On Nightfall in ME, ***-on Somewhere far beyond, ****never heard before the live CD
**"War of Wrath"-No different from the song on the reg CD. I love the line, "the field is lost, everything is lost!" I use it at fencing
**"Into the Storm"-Sounds the same live, too. Great song to sing along to
****"Welcome to Dying"-I love this song! Has a great beat and cool lyrics! The audience got into it.
**"Nightfall"-"Let's see what happens after...nightfall" I love the way Hansi says that! Great song
****"The Script for my Requiem"-OMG! I *love* this song! I can't wait to hear the reg version! *Very* fast paced song.
*"Harvest of Sorrow" AKA "Mies Del Dolor"-Slow song. This time in English. Don't like that much.
*"The Soulforged"-Hansi left out something! He said "spiteful, cruel, but wise." It's supposed to go, "but wise beyond his age." OK live. More lively (like, fast paced)on the reg version.
****"Valhalla"-Great song! "Valhalla, deliverace." It's kinda pretty the way the line's said.
****"Majesty"-LOL, the royal music at the beginning is great! Even the audence is laughing. Cool song.
****"Mordred's Song"-An OK song. Who's Mordred?
****"Born in a Mourning Hall"-Cool song! Like the way the lines are said
*"Under the Ice"-Hansi screams, even though he doesn't on the reg song. Maybe he should take lessons from Joacim.
****"Bright Eyes"-"bright eyes, blinded by fear of life." That sounds true. I love the way Hansi introduces this song-"let me see all your shiny...bright...eyesssss..." lol.
*"Punishment Divine"-Hmmm...the reg version is better, but this line is my fave-"let the saints set up the courtyard"
***"Bard's Song-In the Forest"-Wow, the audience loved this song. I don't.
****"Imaginations from the other Side"-OK song
****"Lost in the Twilight Hall"-I like this song. I like the title, too.
****"A Past and Future Secret"-I love the way Hansi says that. It's nice, and fast paced, and different from the rest of the song.
**"Time Stands Still(At the Iron Hill)"-I love this song! The reg version's better, but WOW!
***"Journey Through the Dark"-Hate this song
****"Lord of the Rings"-Slow, but cool. My fave line-"sloooow down and I sail to the river, slooow down and I walk to the hilllll...Loo-oo-or-d of theeee Rings!!" Other fave line, "Mordor, MORDOR!!"
**"Mirror Mirror"-Long, but cool
Yay, Blind Guardian! But I still think Battlefield shoulda been performed.
