Tomorrow is the bookstore's giant sale, where the customers get to shop in the back..we haven't had one since 2019, so I imagine it's going to be crazy busy haha. I've been telling people I'm tired in advance LOL

What I did over summer vacation is: I went to California with Amanda. Then Amanda, me, Ryan, my dad got in the car and drove to Arizona. First we went to the Grand Canyon. We stayed in our Hotel. We ate dinner. We ALL had the Vegitarian Laagna. It tasted AWFUL
The next morning we hiked down but not too far becase it was too icy. [I remember being terrified I’d slip on the ice and fall into the canyon lol.] After that we got into the car and drove to the Petrified forest. It was COOL. We saw petrified wood. [NO WAY.] Then we went to the Meteor Crator. It was HUGE! Then we drove back to California
Me, my mom, and Ryan went to Kansis to see my grandma. We drove there. We said hi to grandma. I went in her cool backyard. I saw this tree, I thought his leaves were vines (some of them). Then grandpa told me all the names of the trees. He told me the one in the next yard was a sycamore tree. He told me those were leaves not vines
After a few days [at] grandma’s house I went to my Aunt Julie’s house for a whole week! They have 2 acres! We slept in their basement. One day it stormed and I actually saw lightning touch the ground! She lives in the country. After a week there we went back to grandma’s house for 3 hours to say goodbye. I spent most of my time in the backyard because I could see the sycamore tree. [I miss that tree!] We had a t.v. in the car so we woudn't get bored
I also went to Vacation Bible School. On Friday I won Six Flags tickets. The[y] were doing a drawing. Another girl said she never won anything and she won too. 5 or 6 kids including me won out of hundreds of kids. I went for a whole week. It was fun. That was some of my summer vacation

I have alot of friends. But my best friend is Amanda. Here’s all the friends I have: Amanda, Kaite G./and M., Desi, Alisha, Keaton, Eleni, Eileen, Megan L/S, Jordan (I think there’s more). Me and Amanda have been friends since 1rst grade. We have even been to California 2 times, Arizonia, the Grand Canyon, the Meteor Crator. When we went we almost always ate the same food. We spend the night at each others houses (one time she I even spent the night 2 days!). She has 1 acre. She has a big trampoliene, Desi and Katie M., Eleni, Megan L also have a trampoline (that I know of). There’s not enough time to talk about all of my friends
When Amanda went to California we went to Mount Baldy. [Its “real” name is Mount San Antonio, but I’ve always known it as Mt. Baldy lol.] ALL of us felt like our feet were frozen. Amanda got her feet stuck in the snow. Ryan had to run barefoot in the snow! [That hike was crazy lol, dad fell into snow up to his waist, and dad was carrying Ryan, who had taken his shoes off, and dad had to put Ryan down so he could get out.] Amanda and I has had some realy fun times together. She has juniper trees (my first favorite tree). I have junipers too. She has alot of pets, 3 dogs, alot of birds, 5 or 6 cats. That’s alot of pets. She goes to Briarhill Elementary. She wanted to go to my school but she couldn’t. [A rezoning thing. I was REALLY sad about that.] Well that’s some of the things about Amanda

I like trees. Let me name my favorites: Juniper, Sycamore, LiquidAmbar [sweetgum], Golden Rain tree, Crape Myrtle, Bradford pear, poast oak, [really?? In my other journal I said I hated them!] Osage Orange, ponderosa pine, and pine. But the one pictured is my favorite, the Juniper tree. [I taped a picture of a juniper on the page.] Did you know that Junipers spread acid from their roots and kill other trees? [One website says yes and another says no..what to believe??] I learned that at Camp 89er [the 5th grade at my school went camping there for a week]
This is how the gigantic sycamore tree became my second favorite tree. I went to my grandma and grampa's house. Grandpa told me it was a sycamore tree. I even took a leaf with me to remember. When I went to my aunt’s house it got dried out and crumbily like, so she put it in a bag so it wouldn’t get crunched in my backpack on the way home. I still have it in the bag [I wonder if I still have it somewhere?]
Back to Junipers. Some of them are prickeliy. Let me name all the Junipers I can think of. Blue Point, Hollywood, Whichita Blue, Green Mound, Chinese. The Eastern Red Cedar is in the Juniper family. It’s latin name is Juniperus Virginia. How I knew is there is Eastern Red Cedars and there’s a sighn [in the woods near where I lived in Texas] that says it’s English name and it’s latin name. It also had sighns with Green Ash, Osage Orange, poast oak and pecan. So that’s telling you of my licking of trees

I have 8 pets. 3 cats, Snowy, Cheetah, Pumpkin. 3 Guinea pigs, Popcorn, Bandit, Flower. 1 dog, Max. And 1 gecko named Geckard. Snowy is all white. He even lickes your’e ear sometimes! Cheetah is a orange striped tabby cat. She meows almost every time you pick her up. Pumpkin is the newest one. She’s a kitten. She’s so cute. She is a calico cat. She loves to play with string. Popcorn is a short haird Guinea pig (all of them are). She is black, white, and light brown. She hardly ever squeals loud. Bandit is black, white, and brown. He’s in a seprate cage so he doesn’t make the girls pregnet. I can hear him downstairs because he squeaks so loud and is lonely. Flower is black, white and brown. She squeals alot. Max is a German Sheperd. He realy likes Pumpkin and tennis balls. Geckard is a lepard gecko. We hardly ever pick him up (I think it’s a boy). Bandit once made Popcorn and flower pregnet. Flower’s baby’s were named Snowball, Chocolate, and Zorro. Popcorn’s baby was named Ally. We sold all of them. Ally died, probably because she was away from her mother. [Actually there was something physically wrong with her, like her teeth didn’t form right or something, and probably had trouble eating and was never very well..poor thing!] I think the others are safe at their home. I have made it through my first week of school! I have to memorise my locker combonations and all that other stuff. My classes are Reading, P.E., Math, Geography, Discovery, Science, English. My locker number is 1106. The combination is is 44-18-42. My gym locker is 257. The combination is 30-8-22. I ride bus 306. I hope I don’t ever get detention! My favorite movie is Star Wars (all the episodes). My favorite episode 1 charachters are Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, Jar Jar, C-3PO, and R2-D2. My favorite Episode 4 charachters are Luke, old Obi-Wan, Princces Leia, Han, R2-D2, and C-3PO (they are droids). The same with the other 2 episodes. My brother wants almost every Star Wars toy. We have alot of Star Wars toys. My dad and mom also like Star Wars. My friend Amanda and Katie likes Star Wars. At first I didn’t like it, but my brother made me like it. I am in Indian Guides (I don’t know if I’m going to be in Girl Scouts this year). It is realy fun. Our tribe name is the Mahicans. The other people in our tribe are Dawn and her son Clay, Sally and her children Jordon and Sarah. We used to have alot but all of them quit (even the tribe leader!). Our Indian Guides names are

I usually go for walks with my family and my dog. But the last few times we have been trimming vines and trees. We trimmed Bald Cypress[e]s, Elms, cottonwood, pecans, poast oaks, pines, and Weeping Willows. Sometimes we bring my cat instead of trimming trees. One side looks good, but the other side sort of doesn’t. Sometimes the vines are so prickly they scrach me. There were some sort of little cedar trees that had vines on them. We trimed them. They probably feel better now. There is this REALY old tree. There was a prickly vine climbing up it. I managed to get it all down. It was very long. There is this wall of vine climbing between trees. It would take a long time to get all of it out of there. If we wanted too get all of the vines out of the[re] would take months or mabey even years! My dad says we will make a beautiful place after we are through with it. We probably will. We want the trees to look like trees not shrubs. That’s telling you what we do sometimes when we go on walks

The last 3 days me and my brother have been doing this cool thing called water ballons. It is fun. We throw them at each other in the pool (sometimes on the Juniper trees). Somtimes they pop in the pool because we slamed them too hard in the water or on our goggles. Sometimes they pop on the ground because we slam them HARD for them to pop on the ground. The last balloon left is the winner. We have 2 winners so far. So that’s telling you about the fun of water balloons

Over the long weekend my friend Amanda came over. She played in the pool and went for a walk the next day. When she came over my dad had a cold. Amanda had a cold the next day. She thought my dad gave it to her. She couldn’t catch a cold in one day. On Sunday I went to church with my whole family. It was fun. On Monday Meghan came over. When we went for a walk I sweated while I was trimming a crape myrtle. Meghan realy wanted to go home, so I left my work and went home. The reason why it was so hot and sweaty because it was one hundred and eleven degrees outside! The 3rd hottest day in recorded Texas history. [I remember that!! I jumped in the pool, which wasn’t very cool and refreshing anymore haha.] That’s realy hot. Meghan went to my house for awhile, then I went to her house. She has a Juniper tree like we do (we have more than 1). She has a ponderosa pine. I want some. She has alot of plants [that] I do. Then we went back to my house. She wants to be traned to be a Jedi. Ryan won’t let her. [How mean! LOL. I don’t think Ryan liked Meghan much though. :P] That is telling you all about our 4 day weekend

We have started a leaf collection. The leavs are live oak, red oak, Juniper, LiquidAmbar, crape myrtle, Chinese Elm, Silver Maple, sequoia, and Bradford pear. Those are the trees we have done so far. The trees we have left are Golden Rain tree, ficus tree, and yupon. My brother Ryan thought of the idea of having a leaf collection. We glued them on then taped them so they wouldn’t get brown so fast. Some leavs are crinkled. That’s telling you how we have a leaf collection from our trees

When we went for a walk I sweated while I was trimming a crape myrtle. Meghan realy wanted to go home, so I left my work and went home. The reason why it was so hot and sweaty because it was one hundred and eleven degrees outside! The 3rd hottest day in recorded Texas history. [I remember that!! I jumped in the pool, which wasn’t very cool and refreshing anymore haha.] That’s realy hot. Meghan went to my house for awhile, then I went to her house. She has a Juniper tree like we do (we have more than 1). She has a ponderosa pine. I want some. She has alot of plants [that] I do. Then we went back to my house. She wants to be traned to be a Jedi. Ryan won’t let her. [How mean! LOL. I don’t think Ryan liked Meghan much though. :P] That is telling you all about our 4 day weekend

Some of the trees letters probably don’t have names that I know of. The book probably doesn’t have the names because it’s a kids book. Mabey because the tree names don’t have the letter. That’s some of the names of trees in alphibetical order

We have started a leaf collection. The leavs are live oak, red oak, Juniper, LiquidAmbar, crape myrtle, Chinese Elm, Silver Maple, sequoia, and Bradford pear. Those are the trees we have done so far. The trees we have left are Golden Rain tree, ficus tree, and yupon. My brother Ryan thought of the idea of having a leaf collection. We glued them on then taped them so they wouldn’t get brown so fast. Some leavs are crinkled. That’s telling you how we have a leaf collection from our trees
17. What’s the average length of a shower for you? 10 minutes or less
18. What’s something about adult life you were never warned of or prepared for? Getting excited over things like a laundry basket with wheels?? Haha!

20. What is the craziest thing you’ve seen happen at your workplace? That flood years ago (it had been raining like crazy, and the toilets plugged up and flooded a lot of the back of the building), aggressive inebriated people, etc
21. Would you rather read a book or listen to the audiobook? Read a book..I hate audiobooks, I can read faster than they can talk and it drives me crazy haha, and I tend to daydream too :P
