Yesterday I was inside and heard Abby's "I caught a vole!" meow (she's killed at least two in the past two two weeks or so). I was like "oh no"..I went outside and the vole was trying to hide in the grass and Abby was right behind it. I picked it up to save it and it jumped off and ran away. I thought it disappeared so I went on the porch..I thought I felt something under my foot and looked down and there was the vole squirming in agony! I was like "OMG nooo!" I picked it up again and it went limp and I thought it had died right in my hand. Then I saw it was still breathing and I could feel its heart beating. I kept petting it and saying I was sorry. I actually let Abby have it to spare it a long death. She played with it and ate it in about 5 seconds. I felt SO bad for stepping on it..I cried a little too. Poor thing *sniff*

Mom said the RV we're renting won't be ready till the afternoon..waiting waiting..
