A Light in the Darkness

I do not like Trump, but I will not hate. I want to be a light in the darkness..I want to spread love and kindness. Even if I just help one person, it'll make a difference..love spreads and is stronger than hate. I cannot live with hate in my heart. I'm still worried, but all I can do is just..try to be a bright spot in the world. Like one of my Facebook friends said: "Love Trumps Hate one interaction at a time. Make someone else's day brighter, actively love those around you, and make the best of today." Exactly <3

Paulette's husband died early this morning. :( :( He had been sick the last few months..on Monday he went to Anchorage to get a pacemaker put in, but there must have been complications since he died. That is SO sad..I'm gonna miss saying hi to him on the phone (he called Paulette every day, it was adorable). He was so nice..wow :(

I love love love love this entry. I feel like what you are saying is SO important. I have been doing A LOT of thinking since the night of the election and I think I am finally in a good place mentally - but this is why I REFUSED to post anything political on Facebook that pointed to which specific party I was going to vote for. I'm sure those who are closest to me would be aware that OF COURSE I would NEVER vote for Trump. And OH how much I wanted to react to so many posts that so many people have posted, but I have absolutely refused to do so and I am SO happy that I didn't. It's been so hard to see how divided and angry EVERYONE has been lately. It makes me so sad and upset. I am going to remember your words here and carry them close to my heart as well <3
