See, I disagree with that. There are studies that show that the body metabolizes different kinds of food differently. And there is absolutely nothing nutritionally redeeming about refined sugar and refined carbs.
I think rather than purely portion control, we should teach and practice limiting certain KINDS of foods. I love cookies so I'm not going to see never eat them, but we would be better off as a nation if these things were treated like treats and desserts that are for special occasions rather than every day snack items.
