I'm-a Italian... *thumbs up*

Yaaaay I recopied that story I wrote during lunch and I didn't lose it and I can write it here and YAY! And if it seems odd, repetitive or in a weird order, it's supposed to be that way...it's in the eyes of a three year old after all. I don't think I'll be able to stop talking like an Italian for a looong time. And I'm also rubbing off on Caitlin...she talks like me...like 'heck yeah,' 'majorly,' 'shiny' and 'lovely'...

Caitlin may sleep over again this weekend...we're waiting for her mom's answer. It would be very cool if she did...

We're starting Of Mice and Men in English...it's very descriptive!! I always thought it would be about something medieval (and I thought it was written by Shakespeare) but it's like somewhere in the western US...oh joy, western talk *throws up*

My name is Luca. I'm-a three years old, and I live in Italy with my parents. I just woke up. My mama just helped me get dressed. Mama is now making me breakfast. I yell, "Hurry up-a! I can't-a wait all day-a!" I'm impatient and everything seems to take forever!
"Luca, mi amor, be patient-a!"
If she's not out with the food I'm-a gonna scream and yell and maybe die!!
Well I just ate breakfast and I'm-a now swinging at the park with mama. I yell "Faster faster! Higher higher! Look mama, I'm-a as high as the clouds!"
"Yes-a" mama says
Then..."stop-a!" I see something shiny. Mama stopped the swing so I'm-a gonna go see what it is...actually I'm-a feeling tired...
"Luca," says mama, "shall we-a go home-a for your nap?"
How does she know-a?!
*yawns* Hi again-a! I dreamed of playing and swinging and watching movies all day-a! Mama asked if I had a good nap and I said yes-a. Now it's time for lunch-a but I'd rather play with that random toy over there. Mama says I have to eat..."no!!!" I yell, and throw the toy across the room. "AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!"
"Luca, Luca mi amor!" mama says, gesturing with her hands and pointing her finger at me," you-a have all the time-a anyone could want to play with your toys, but right now it's lunch time. If you continue with this you won't-a get to watch a movie tonight"
"No!!" I yell again, but I realize I really am hungry...
I ate lunch and now it's evening. I ate dinner too and now I'm-a eating a snack. I eat a lot, no? I'm-a also watching a movie...in Italian of course. My mama has taught me some English (do you-a think it's good-a?) but I like Italian much better. Well after the movie I gotta go to bed
"Madre, padre," I yell in Italian, "come watch the movie with me!"**
"Coming, mi amor!"
Well gotta go! It was-a nice-a talking to you-a!
Arrivederci!!

PS: HAIL ITALY!!!!!!

**Anyone know how to say that in Italian?

Tell me bout the rabbits George! My class never read the book, got to see the movie ^_^ So sad..

We had an Itallin exchange student three years ago. He was pretty cool, but really weird. Says Rome is beautiful. Squee! Purr for the accent... apperently only scillians and southern Itally speak with the a on everything. Hot accents rule ^_^

I may be going to Rome this summer...lol I find it very amusing how they put the 'a' on everything. Luca Turilli doesn't do it but you said only people from southern Italy do it and he's from northern Italy...I could listen to an Italian accent nonstop for 50 years and never get bored

Hey would you like to hear Luca talking?

""Luca," says mama, "shall we-a go home-a for your nap?"
How does she know-a?!" mama's know everything lol

I bet Luca would be really shiny as a 3 year old...I wonder what he looked like?

lol, it takes place in Salinas CA, which is about a 1/2 hour drive from where I grew up. We visited the Steinbeck museum in the 9th grade and I was soooo bored...I don't like John Steinbeck's writing, but so many people here are obsessed with him because he's local so it's just like "heeeeeeelp!". lol.

I saw that museum on the movie we watched on Steinbeck...I was like...pointless?!! I like his writing but I don't think it's anything to obsess about...and Of Mice and Men is totally different than I thought it was gonna be about lol!

We read Of Mice and Men last year. I hated it, personally.

I'm going to Italy in April! Squee!
