Friday five
1) What are you doing this spring that you weren't doing 1 year ago? Working..everyone's loving not having to wear a mask haha
2) What pandemic precautions are you still taking? I still wear a mask if it's required, but more and more places aren't requiring them anymore. Definitely wash my hands after working the register lol
3) What's a safety rule that's very important to you? Wearing a seatbelt
4) What plants are blooming where you live? Chokecherries, and a couple plants with yellow flowers I don't know the names of. We had a cold front come through yesterday, hopefully it didn't shock the flowers too much :P
5) What was your most memorable summer job? Does petsitting count?
After not hearing anything from the eye doctor about my new lenses in almost a month, I called them and they said they called my home phone at the beginning of May and left a message..I checked my answering machine but there weren't any messages on it..weird. O_o I went to get them on Wednesday. After the optician switched my lenses, she was like "progressives will be weird and hard to get used to, your balance might be off, so hold on to railings..some people even use a cane!" "Huh, that's a little dramatic," I thought, and when I went to leave she said "do you think you can walk out of here ok? I'll stand by in case you need help!" Yeah, that's a BIT dramatic haha! Honestly, they were a little weird, but not as weird as I thought they would be. I was just fine walking out and using stairs and stuff lol. They haven't given me a migraine like the other glasses did, phew. I think they do help, maybe not 100%, but I doubt my prescription will ever be perfect haha. I can't believe I've been dealing with this since August! The optician said it usually takes two weeks to get used to progressives (and having prisms makes it more complicated), so hopefully they'll just keep getting better and this whole saga will be over :P
