In other aviation news, JetBlue has a public-relations disaster when ten of its flights are stranded on runways for so long that they are enveloped by glaciers

In other show business news, the surprise contestant on American Idol is llama-hairstyled Sanjaya Malakar, who, with the support of millions of viewers, all apparently deaf, manages to reach the late rounds of the competition before being eliminated by a blowgun dart from Simon Cowell

I counted my CDs yesterday..I have 130 here and more in Texas. And yesterday I bought "Follow the Blind" by Blind Guardian and "Land of the Free" by Gamma Ray haha

Despite being close to Alabama in the dictionary, Alaska is actually located in Canada. This is only one of the astounding facts about this dynamic state, which is so big that if you were to walk across it at the rate of 25 miles per day, you would get moose poop all over your shoes. You find moose poop everywhere in Alaska. You can buy souvenirs made from it. We once bought (this is true) some moose-poop swizzle sticks in Alaska's largest city, Anchorage, where our hotel had a huge stuffed bear in the lobby striking a pose that said: "Welcome to Alaska! I am going to rip your face off!" Alaska also contains large quantities of nature in the form of tundra ("tundra" is the Eskimo word for "nothing") and glaciers, which are enormous pieces of ice that have somehow developed the ability to creep around, which is a pretty scary concept and we just hope that they don't learn to walk erect. The Official State Motto of Alaska is "Brrrrrrr!" The Official State Bird is covered with oil

I've seen soap with moose poop inside of it haha

Movies watched this week: Evan Almighty, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry

I asked Heather if I'd like the new Ayreon album and she sent me a couple of songs (one with Simone Simons..can I steal her hair? Haha). They were decent enough so I bought the album (it's called 01011001) along with Dark Passion Play by Nightwish and Dave Barry's Bad Habits: A 100% Fact-Free Book

Today's stupidest quote: "I was always dreaming about very powerful people--dictators and things like that. I was just always impressed by people who could be remembered for hundreds of years, or even, like Jesus, be for thousands of years remembered" (Arnold Schwarzenegger, in the 1977 film Pumping Iron)

A few years ago I talked to this guy online and after like one conversation he said he loved me and I also said I did and then like a week later (after only talking once in between) I told him he was my boyfriend..but then like two months later we didn't even acknowledge the fact that I had said I was his boyfriend (he asked if I had a boyfriend and I said I was single). Should that count as having a boyfriend? I was like..14 or 15 and apparently didn't know what "love" really is..

Last night there was a spider in my hair (or near it at least)...ewwww omg..

The appeal of this dynamic, rugged state is perhaps best described by the words of mega-weenie John Denver, who sang:
Almost heaven? West Virginia?
West Virginia has long been a major attraction for tourists for tourists who are seeking to escape from their "nine-to-five" office-bound jobs for a chance to get out in the country and mine some coal. West Virginia's residents are all very friendly and closely related. You can meet them "up close and personal" during the state's annual Deliverance Canoe Trip and Pig Imitation Festival. West Virginia's Official State Toilet Part is the flapper

The invitation states that this coffee is named for the luwak, a "member of the weasel family" that lives on the island of Java and eats coffee berries; as the berries pass through the luwak, a "natural fermentation" takes place, and the berry seeds--the coffee beans--come out of the luwak intact. The beans are then gathered, washed, roasted, and sold to coffee connoisseurs

I'm gonna eat lunch with Jody and Ruth today..ooo haha

Pre-algebra: Guess who's in my first class?? Amanda from elementary school! We were such good friends and I'd been wanting to see her again. I talked to her after class and she said she remembered me. Her voice is deeper than I remember it. I wonder if she cares to be my friend again haha. The teacher is really nice and she said she was dyslexic..

English: The teacher's nice too..she said there was gonna be a lot of discussions and if we don't turn in just one essay we'll fail the class..no pressure haha

US history after 18 something: The teacher is funnyyyy haha. You know those teachers in movies like Dead Poets Society? He's one of them..he kept telling everyone we were all bad people from some argument theory thing..I have to read chapter 18 by Wednesday..

Computer class: The teacher reminds me of the guy from Office Space who kept getting moved around..his voice is soooo boringggg..he can be funny though..

Computer lab: Wow I got confused at first..we have to do seven projects and if we finish them early we don't have to go to the class anymore! Shall I? Haha

Rhode Island
Although it is the smallest state in the union, Rhode Island is nevertheless one of the least interesting. Ha ha! We are just joshing, of course. This dynamic state is a vacation paradise, boasting a population, an average annual rainfall, and historical significance. For example, the Quonset hut was invented here. The Official State Bird (we are not making this up) is a chicken
